Separate posts on Telegram stated that the operations included detonating explosive devices, launching rockets, and directly targeting Israeli gatherings and vehicles, in response to the ongoing aggression against Gaza.
The Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement, reported that it had bombed an Israeli army command and control headquarters with a 107 rocket near the Khadra Mosque north of Khan Yunis, noting that a direct hit had been achieved.
Footage was also broadcast showing the detonation of an Israeli military vehicle with an "Zelzal 4" anti-tank explosive device in the al-Tuffah neighborhood in eastern Gaza. The timing of the operation was not specified, given the factions' occasional delay in announcing the operation until the withdrawal and field verification were complete.
The Brigades explained that one of its units detonated a D9 Israeli military bulldozer with a landmine on Wednesday morning, as it advanced into the Al-Huda Square in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood in eastern Gaza, damaging it.
In a joint operation, the Al-Quds Brigades and the Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, the military wing of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, announced shelling of Israeli army positions on Al-Badaw Street in the Al-Satar Al-Gharbi area north of Khan Yunis, using 60mm mortar shells. The timing of the operation was not specified.
For its part, the Qassam Brigades reported that it targeted an Israeli armored personnel carrier with a "Yasin 105" missile on Islamic Complex Street in Khan Yunis on Wednesday afternoon, setting it on fire and prompting Israeli helicopters to land to evacuate the site.
As of 17:30 (GMT), the Israeli occupation army has not issued a comment on these operations.
These attacks are part of the Palestinian factions' response to the war waged by Israel on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, with US support. This war has included killing, destruction, starvation, and forced displacement, despite international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to halt it.
This war has so far resulted in the deaths of more than 192,000 Palestinians, most of them children and women, as well as more than 10,000 missing persons, hundreds of thousands displaced, and a famine that has claimed the lives of a large number of civilians, including children, amid widespread destruction of infrastructure.
