President Director of PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB) Ferry Paulus said that his party is in the review stage to relax the policy on visiting team supporters for the 2025/2026 Super League, the new name for Liga 1 starting next season.
Later, said Ferry, his party is trying to ensure the presence of visiting team supporters for all clubs, except for those who have high rivalries, such as Persib Bandung and Persija Jakarta, as well as Arema FC and Persebaya Surabaya.
"What is certain is that it can be said that the door is closed if Persib supporters come to Persija. Likewise, Persija supporters definitely cannot come to Persib," said Ferry when conveying the results of the annual and extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPS) of PT LIB to journalists.
"Arema and Persebaya will also not be allowed for now. Yes, but for example Dewa and Persija, (then) Dewa and perhaps Persebaya, there is no history (of rivalry) either," he added.
This study, Ferry said, was also conducted in line with the launch of an application called Sobat Liga in April. Sobat Liga is a match ticket service provider, which is similar to other similar ticketing providers.
