AFC Bournemouth has officially signed Chelsea goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic from Serbia on a five-year contract and he immediately joined the main squad for the pre-season tour to the United States (US).
AFC Bournemouth President of Football Operations Tiago Pinto welcomed Petrovic's arrival.
"We are very happy to have signed Djordje because the goalkeeper position is very vital and this is an opportunity we cannot pass up," Pinto said on the club's website, as quoted.
He added that Djordje is still young but already has a lot of experience and impressive qualities, so the club is interested in bringing him in.
Meanwhile, Petrovic also expressed his happiness after completing his transfer to Bournemouth.
