In official letters addressed to the heads of parliaments, Fattouh said, "What our people in Gaza are being subjected to is a full-scale war of extermination, targeting all aspects of life and survival, amid shameful international silence and blatant complicity, which has encouraged Israel to continue its crimes."
He stressed that this war "threatens the Palestinian people's right to life and targets their very existence on their land," holding the international community responsible for its failure to halt the ongoing aggression.
In a related context, Fattouh pointed out that Israeli attacks are not limited to Gaza, but also extend to the West Bank and Jerusalem, where the occupation authorities continue to "unleash settler gangs" to commit daily violations against Palestinians, from killing, burning crops, and stealing resources, to physically assaulting citizens in villages and cities.
Yesterday, Friday, settlers killed two Palestinians in the town of Sinjil, north of Ramallah. One died from severe beatings, and the other was shot directly, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
In parallel with the genocide in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli occupation army and settlers escalated their attacks in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, resulting in the deaths of at least 998 Palestinians, the injury of approximately 7,000 others, and the arrest of more than 18,000 others, according to Palestinian data.
This comes as Israel, with US support, has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, leaving more than 195,000 Palestinians dead or wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 10,000 missing, in addition to hundreds of thousands displaced.
