The Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, said in a statement that its fighters destroyed a military excavator with a landmine on July 9, east of the Zeitoun neighborhood in Gaza City.

It also announced that it had blown up Israeli military vehicles at the same location in recent days, including a Merkava tank on July 6 and two military bulldozers on July 2.

Despite the delay in announcing these operations, the complex field conditions in Gaza, including securing the withdrawal of fighters and completing field documentation, often lead to a delay in publishing details of military operations.

For its part, the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement, announced the destruction of an Israeli military vehicle on Saturday using a previously planted barrel bomb in the Sheikh Nasser area east of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip.

In a related development, five Israeli soldiers sustained minor to moderate injuries in three separate incidents inside the Gaza Strip on Saturday, according to the Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth.

The newspaper reported that a soldier working as an engineer sustained moderate injuries when his car was detonated by an explosive device in Khan Yunis, while four other soldiers were injured in an armed clash on the outskirts of the Zeitoun neighborhood in southern Gaza City.

Earlier on Saturday, the Israeli Broadcasting Authority announced that four soldiers were injured in fighting in the northern and southern Gaza Strip, without providing further details, raising the possibility that the figures overlap with those reported in the Hebrew newspaper.

These developments coincide with an escalation in resistance operations against Israeli forces advancing into Gaza, alongside indirect negotiations underway in Qatar aimed at reaching a prisoner exchange agreement and a ceasefire.

Since the beginning of the aggression, the occupying army has faced accusations of concealing the extent of its human and material losses, despite acknowledging the deaths of 890 of its soldiers and officers, including 446 since the start of the ground invasion on October 27, in addition to the injury of 6,089 others, including 2,792 injured during the ground operations.

With unwavering American support, Israel has continued its genocide in Gaza since October 7, leaving approximately 196,000 Palestinians dead or wounded, most of them children and women. In addition, more than 10,000 are missing, hundreds of thousands are displaced, and a famine has claimed the lives of many more. This is in complete disregard of the International Court of Justice's orders and repeated UN calls to halt the war.
