German police assault and arrest protesters denouncing Israeli genocide in Gaza

Hundreds of participants gathered in Neptune Square in the center of the German capital, waving Palestinian flags and banners bearing slogans such as: "This is not war, it's genocide," "Boycott Israel," "Stop arming Israel," "The children of Gaza want to live," and "Israel is a child-killing terrorist."

The demonstration coincided with heightened security measures taken by police, who arrested a number of demonstrators before later using violence against them. One demonstrator was injured and taken to the hospital after receiving first aid at the scene.

Germany is one of Israel's most prominent political and military supporters in its war on the Gaza Strip, which human rights organizations describe as "genocide."

Since October 7, 2023, Israel, with full American support, has been committing genocide in Gaza, leaving approximately 196,000 Palestinians dead or wounded, most of them children and women. In addition, more than 10,000 are missing, hundreds of thousands are displaced, and famine has claimed the lives of many, including dozens of children.
