Andy Carroll has officially joined English sixth division club, or National League South, Dagenham & Redbridge, after previously leaving French club Bordeaux.
"The level of competition is not important, I just want to play football," Carroll was quoted as saying by Sky Sports, Sunday.
"I've had offers from clubs in higher leagues, but it's about fit and what I want to do, not about level or more money."
"We have a project here to take the club out of non-league," he continued.
