Maluku Regional Police become an example of security diplomacy in the eyes of the Dutch parliament




 The Maluku Regional Police has become an example of security diplomacy practices that prioritize the values ​​of democracy, humanity, and a humanist approach in maintaining social stability in the eyes of the Parliamentary Delegation of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

"We are interested to see how the police in Maluku are able to build harmonious relations with the community through an approach that is not only firm but also full of empathy," said Jesse Klaver, Chairman of the Dutch Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee.

This assessment was conveyed during an official visit by a Dutch parliamentary delegation to the Maluku Regional Police Headquarters in Ambon. They were received by the Deputy Chief of Maluku Regional Police, Brigadier General Imam Thobroni, representing the Maluku Regional Police Chief, and accompanied by several senior police officials.

In a dialogue held in the Regional Police Chief's living room, members of parliament expressed their appreciation for the Maluku Regional Police's strategy in maintaining security in the region known for its ethnic, religious, and cultural diversity.

The delegation included Kati Piri Eric van der Burg and several other members of parliament. They were accompanied by representatives from the Dutch Embassy in Indonesia and the Dutch Consulate in Ambon.
