Maybank committed to building cycling sports in Indonesia

Maybank Indonesia President Director Steffano Ridwan said the banking company remains committed to developing cycling sports in Indonesia, by organizing international tournaments, such as the Maybank Cycling Series Il Festino 2025, in Yogyakarta, on September 28.

He explained that the activity was one way to build the bicycle racing sports industry, which could encourage increased achievements, as well as campaign for a lifestyle in the country.

"This is not just an ordinary bicycle racing event but also a real manifestation of our support for the values of sportsmanship, especially for Indonesian people who love cycling, as well as for the bicycle racing community," said Steffano when opening the press conference for the tournament in Jakarta, Tuesday.

He explained that this was the second time the event had been held by the company, in collaboration with Il Festino.

The activity, he continued, will not only be a bicycle race, but will also be filled with other events such as an MSME bazaar, tree planting, waste management, and other social and environmental activities.

"This activity is also a means of realizing sustainability commitments that are in line with the Maybank Group's M25+ strategy to become a leader in the field of environmental, social, and governance (ESG), especially in building a more sustainable and inclusive future for the next generation," he said.
