Technology company Meta has reportedly recruited the head of Apple's artificial intelligence (AI) modeling team , Ruoming Pang, to lead the AI superintelligence unit.
According to a Bloomberg report quoted in a TechCrunch broadcast on Monday (7/7), Pang previously led Apple's internal team responsible for training basic AI models that are at the core of the Apple Intelligence system and AI features on devices.
Pang is seen as bringing expertise in designing small on-device AI models to Meta.
He will join the AI talent Meta has already recruited from companies such as Google DeepMind, OpenAI, and Safe Superintelligence.
