More than 70 martyrs in Gaza in one day... and the occupation continues to target civilians, tents, and water centers

In Gaza City, two Palestinians, one of them a woman, were killed in an airstrike on the Zeitoun neighborhood, and two others were killed in a drone strike on the Sanafour intersection in the Tuffah neighborhood. Two other Palestinians were also killed and more than 15 others were injured on Al-Nafaq Street in the Al-Daraj neighborhood, which is crowded with pedestrians.

In the Al-Daraj neighborhood, 11 Palestinians, including a child and a doctor, were killed and more than 50 others were injured in a bombing that targeted a civilian gathering.

In the Shati refugee camp, west of the city, six Palestinians were killed in a house attack, while an apartment in the Sabra neighborhood was targeted, killing two Palestinians.

In the central Gaza Strip, nine Palestinians from one family (the Arbid family) were killed in an attack on their home in the al-Sawarah area, west of the Nuseirat refugee camp. The death toll from the bombing of a water filling station in the same camp rose to 10, including six children, while they were waiting to collect water. Sixteen others were injured.

Later, five Palestinians were killed and others injured in a drone strike north of the town of Al-Zawaida in the central Gaza Strip.

In the south, three Palestinians were killed in an airstrike on a tent housing displaced persons in the Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Yunis, while a girl was killed and five others were injured in a similar attack in the city.

Israeli attacks on displaced persons' tents in the Qadisiyah and Al-Majaydah areas of Al-Mawasi also resulted in the deaths of seven Palestinians, including three children.

In another massacre, five Palestinians from one family (a father, a mother, and three children) were killed when their tent was targeted in the Mawasi area of Al-Qarar town, northwest of Khan Yunis.

In Rafah, three Palestinians were killed by Israeli occupation forces while waiting for food aid west of the city.

" The occupation is hindering access to victims."

Gaza Civil Defense spokesman Mahmoud Basal confirmed Sunday evening that their crews were unable to reach areas east of Gaza City due to the continued, direct, and intense Israeli targeting.

He explained that "all the talk about the occupation withdrawing from the neighborhoods of Zeitoun, Al-Tuffah, and Shuja'iyya is incorrect," noting that what happened was "a limited retreat of the vehicles, with heavy fire covering them up to Salah al-Din Street." He spoke of "significant indications" of the presence of martyrs, wounded, and besieged people in the eastern areas.

Malnutrition is killing Gaza's children.

The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) said on Sunday that more than 5,800 children in the Gaza Strip were diagnosed with malnutrition during June, including more than 1,000 suffering from severe acute malnutrition.

She noted that this figure represents an increase for the fourth consecutive month, and stressed the need to "deliver aid quickly and on a large scale" to Palestinians in Gaza.

Famine is spreading in the Gaza Strip as a result of the blockade and the ban on food imports, leading to the deaths of dozens of children, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

"Beit Hanoun is a destructive target"

In a related development, Channel 14 reported on Sunday that the Israeli military's current mission is to "destroy as quickly as possible" the city of Beit Hanoun in the northern Gaza Strip, before concluding a prisoner exchange and ceasefire agreement with Hamas.

The channel reported that approximately 250 targets were targeted in the city in just 48 hours, including 35 on Saturday, claiming that dozens of faction members were killed inside the tunnels.

The channel justified this systematic destruction by saying that "the goal is to prevent Beit Hanoun from remaining steadfast again," with simultaneous land, sea, and air operations being carried out.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel, with full American support, has been committing genocide in Gaza, leaving approximately 196,000 Palestinians dead or wounded, most of them children and women. In addition, more than 10,000 are missing, hundreds of thousands are displaced, and famine has claimed the lives of many, including dozens of children.
