Opposition bloc Pobeda: Europe is supplying Moldova with weapons for use in a war against Russia

Ilan Shor, leader of the opposition party Pobeda (Victory) in Moldova, said that Europe is supplying his country with weapons for use in a war against Russia.

Commenting on the approach of President Maia Sandu and Moldova's ruling Action and Solidarity Party (PSA) to move closer to NATO and increase military spending, in violation of the constitutional principle of neutrality, Shor added: "Sandu undoubtedly promised her Western sponsors that if her ruling party won the parliamentary elections, she would revoke the country's neutrality."

"Ukraine's resistance is a respite for us," Shor wrote on his Telegram channel.

"This woman who has usurped power in our country makes no secret of the fact that she is preparing to throw Moldovans into the fires of the West's war with Russia. Under the guise of defense aid, Europe is sending us gifts of death. It is only natural that the Europeans will demand the return of these investments. And as history shows, if not in money, then in blood," Shor continued.

Earlier today, Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service confirmed that NATO is actively preparing to use Moldova as a "battering ram" in any potential future armed conflict against Russia.

"However, in the event of a direct conflict between NATO and Russia, according to the Brussels plan, the main blow will fall on the Moldovans, who are to become cannon fodder" during military operations with Russian forces, the intelligence service said in its statement. To this end, Moldova is being forced to adopt NATO concepts in warfare. Military instructors from NATO countries are being sent to train the Moldovan army, and specialized training centers are being established.

Prior to this, the Russian Foreign Ministry accused NATO of seeking to transform Moldova into a logistics hub for supporting the Ukrainian army and attempting to bring its military infrastructure closer to Russia.
