PT Pelni President Director Tri Andayani conducted a surprise inspection at Tanjung Perak Port, Surabaya, to ensure all ships adhered to strict safety procedures for maximum protection for passengers during the voyage.
"This inspection aims to ensure that the facilities and safety equipment are always ready for use in emergency situations," Anda said, as confirmed in a statement received.
Anda, as he is familiarly known, said that PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia or PT Pelni is committed to shipping safety, so they conducted a surprise inspection.
The inspection was carried out on KM Dorolonda, accompanied by Pelni Corporate Secretary Evan Eryanto, Head of DPA Fauzi Indrianto and Head of Pelni Surabaya Branch Roni Abdullah.
During the inspection, you checked a number of vital safety equipment such as lifeboats, liferafts, life jackets and the Marine Evacuation System (MES).
"This is to ensure operational readiness and compliance with shipping safety standards," he explained.
He ensured that all Pelni passenger ships had implemented strict safety procedures, with crew preparedness lists and emergency drills conducted regularly.
