Promoted team Persijap Jepara has again strengthened its squad, this time by borrowing young midfielder Adzikry Fadillah from Persib Bandung.
"We hope Adzikry's presence will add chemistry to the squad, especially in the attacking midfield. We are confident that with his abilities, he can adapt quickly and contribute to the team," said Persijap President M. Iqbal Hidayat, as quoted in a written statement on Friday.
Adzikry, who turned 22 in the 2024/2025 season, made a total of four appearances for Maung Bandung. That same season, he also played for Persib U-20 in the Elite Pro Academy U-20, scoring 13 goals and providing eight assists.
Adzikry's arrival is believed to enhance the attacking power of Laskar Kalinyamat's midfield. He is considered to be adept at reading the game and would be a perfect fit for the team's needs in the upcoming competitive season.
Persijap was promoted after defeating PSPS Pekanbaru 1-0 in the promotion playoff match that took place in February.
The club appears quite serious about the 2025/2026 season, as evidenced by their efforts to bring in several new players, including Carlos Henrique, Rodrigo Moura, Mike Abdallah Sudi, and Sakyi Elvis. They have also recruited a new coach, Mario Lemos.
