Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, in a joint statement with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in Brussels, Belgium, Sunday local time, emphasized his desire for greater European presence and participation in the Indonesian economy.
"We consider Europe very important to us. Therefore, we want to see more European presence and participation in our economy," Prabowo said, as broadcast on the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube channel on Sunday.
Prabowo said that Europe has a very important role in maintaining global stability, especially amidst the uncertain world situation.
On that occasion, Prabowo said that Indonesia views Europe as a strategic partner in various fields, including science, technology, and finance.
The Head of State also said that Indonesia still sees Europe as a leader in many aspects of modern life.
