In front of Prabowo, the European Union announced the latest visa facilities for Indonesian citizens.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced the latest facilities provided to Indonesian citizens (WNI), especially those visiting European Union member countries for the second time.

In a joint statement session with President Prabowo Subianto at the European Commission headquarters in Brussels, Belgium, Sunday, von der Leyen said the European Union had adopted a visa cascade policy for Indonesian passport holders applying for Schengen visas.

"This means that from now on, Indonesian citizens visiting the European Union for the second time can apply for a multi-entry Schengen visa ," said the President of the European Commission while delivering a joint statement with President Prabowo.

Holders of a multi-entry Schengen visa can enter the European Union repeatedly with the same visa document.

According to von der Leyen, the policy could make it easier for Indonesians who want to visit, study, and network in the European Union.

"Essentially, we want to build bridges between the peoples (of Indonesia and the European Union)," von der Leyen continued.
