Pre-season match: Newcastle narrowly lose 0-1 to K-League All Stars

Newcastle once again failed to achieve a positive result after suffering a narrow 0-1 defeat to the combined K-League All Stars team in their pre-season tour of South Korea which took place at the Suwon World Cup Stadium on Wednesday (30/7) evening WIB.

The only goal of the match was scored by midfielder Kim Jin-Gyu in the 36th minute, after exploiting a gap in Newcastle's back line.

The K-League All Stars team itself is coached by Kim Pang-gon, a coach who previously coached the Malaysian National Team.

In this match, The Magpies fielded most of their core players, including Nick Pope under the goal and the young attacking trio of Anthony Gordon, William Osula, and Anthony Elanga who made their debut.
