Robots and drones are becoming plum delivery couriers in Chongqing, China.





 A farmer in an orchard in Quchi, Wushan, Chongqing City, southwest China, named Peng Bin, has just finished picking plums.

Not long after, a black robot dog approached Peng, carrying a basket full of fruit on its back.

Eight minutes later, the freshly picked plums arrived at a post office. They were packaged so they could be loaded onto a drone.

Five minutes later, a drone carrying more than 50 kilograms of plums flew to a pick-up point in Wushan town. The journey took seven minutes.

On the runway, a plane was waiting to take off.

With seamless coordination between robot dogs, drones and aircraft, plums from an orchard in Quchi, Wushan County, southwest China's Chongqing Municipality, completed their journey out of the mountains in record time.

Currently, fresh Wushan plums can be delivered within 24 hours to more than 1,000 cities across China.
