Saudi Arabia and France begin distributing invitations to the "Two-State Solution" conference at the United Nations.

According to the official Voice of Palestine radio station, this move comes after the International Palestine Conference, which was scheduled to be held from June 17 to 20, was postponed due to the US-backed Israeli attacks on Iran, which began on June 13 and continued for 12 days. This prompted French President Emmanuel Macron to announce the postponement.

Awadallah explained that work is currently underway at the level of specialized committees and roundtables, including eight committees co-chaired by various countries, with the aim of laying the practical foundations for implementing the two-state solution.

He emphasized that recognizing the State of Palestine is an international issue and pivotal to efforts to end the occupation and enable the Palestinian government to assume its responsibilities in the Gaza Strip. He noted that the conference aims to promote this vision and encourage countries to formally recognize Palestine.

There has been no official comment from Saudi Arabia or France regarding the distribution of invitations, while Israel and the United States have explicitly rejected the convening of a conference supporting the two-state solution.

These actions coincide with the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, with US support. This campaign, described as genocide, includes killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, in defiance of international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice.

This campaign resulted in the deaths and injuries of approximately 196,000 Palestinians, most of whom were children and women, in addition to more than 10,000 missing persons and hundreds of thousands displaced.
