Settler attacks escalated on Saturday in several areas of the occupied West Bank , but were mainly concentrated in Hebron.
Sources told Al Jazeera that settlers, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces , stormed the Old City of Hebron and also attacked Palestinians and their property in Surif (north of Hebron).
The sources added that the occupation army handed residents of the towns of Sa'ir and Shuyukh in Hebron a decision to confiscate thousands of dunams for settlement expansion.
Settlers also assaulted a Palestinian family east of Turmus Ayya and attacked a school north of Jericho in the central-eastern West Bank.
Martyr of severe beating
In Ramallah (central West Bank), settlers also escalated their attacks, particularly in the town of Sinjil (north of the city), where Palestinian Saif al-Din Muslat was martyred after settlers severely beat him.
According to local press sources, the body of another martyr, Mohammed Rizq Hassan Shalabi (23 years old), was later found in the same clashes, "as a result of being shot in the chest." Approximately 40 others were injured in the same attack.
Yesterday, two Palestinians were martyred near Ramallah by settlers. Palestinian sources confirmed that one of the martyrs was an American citizen.
Settler attacks on Palestinian villages and towns have intensified, as part of the ongoing Israeli escalation since Operation Flood of Al-Aqsa on October 7, 2023.
For 645 days, Israel , with American support , has been committing genocide in the Gaza Strip , leaving more than 195,000 Palestinians dead or wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 10,000 missing, in addition to hundreds of thousands of displaced persons and an unprecedented famine.
