Sony has launched a new camera from its Cinema Line series, the FX2 (model ILME-FX2), with a number of cinematic features to support filmmaking, new eyepieces, and various production needs.
"FX2 is designed to continue Cinema Line's goal of preserving authentic emotion in every shot and empowering creators across all areas of content production," said PT Sony Indonesia President Director Motoya Itako in a statement in Jakarta on Monday.
The FX2 features a full-frame sensor that delivers high-quality images and beautiful bokeh effects. The new camera features a 33.0-effective megapixel back-illuminated Exmor R sensor, and with up to 15+ stops of wide latitude using S-Log3, it captures fine detail in both highlights and shadows.
The camera features Dual Base ISOs for S-Log 3 of 800 and 4000, allowing for optimal image quality in a variety of lighting conditions. The FX2's ISO sensitivity for video can be increased to 102400, making it ideal for low-light environments.
