Swiatek crushes Anisimova to win Wimbledon for the first time

Iga Swiatek crushed Amanda Anisimova 6-0, 6-0 in the women's Wimbledon final on Saturday to win her first Wimbledon title.

Swiatek's success in winning Wimbledon means she has now won six Grand Slam tournaments.

The eighth seed from Poland was dominant from the first point and finished the match in just 57 minutes.

This is the first time a woman has won the Wimbledon final without dropping a game since 1911.

Swiatek also became only the second player in the Open era to win a Grand Slam final without dropping a game. Steffi Graf previously achieved the feat when she defeated Natalia Zvereva in the 1988 French Open final.
