Forestry Minister Raja Juli Antoni stated that the main target of the Ministry's program activities in 2026 is to actualize forests for food, energy, and water resources, as well as downstream forest products to support regional growth. he articulated these efforts into macro-targets for forestry development, targeting a 15 percent reduction in greenhouse gas emissions from the forestry sector and an increase in the Village Development Index from forestry development activities in 600 villages.
"And the increase in Gross Domestic Product in the forestry sub-sector was Rp65.23 trillion at constant prices or Rp136.19 trillion at current prices," said the Minister of Forestry.
The Minister of Forestry also stated that the Ministry's broad policy direction is to protect forests as the world's lungs and regulators of water management; equitable forest management; forest utilization for food and energy security; a one-map policy; and digitalization of forestry services as a form of modernizing forest governance.
