The occupation continues to target civilians in Gaza, destroying 88% of the Strip's area since the beginning of the war.

According to medical sources and eyewitnesses, the Israeli attacks included homes, tents for displaced people, and civilian gatherings, including starving people near aid centers.

In the latest raid, the Israeli occupation army killed six Palestinian aid seekers in a shooting attack near a distribution center in Rafah (south), while others were injured in the central Gaza Strip.

Since May 27, the number of Palestinians killed in a series of attacks targeting aid distribution areas established by Israel and the United States under the guise of "humanitarian aid" has risen to 877 martyrs and 5,666 wounded, as of Thursday, according to the Ministry of Health in Gaza.

In the northern Gaza Strip, the Israeli occupation forces killed three Palestinians after targeting a gathering of civilians in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City.

This was preceded in the morning by the killing of five Palestinians, including a child, when a gathering of civilians was targeted in the town of Jabalia al-Nazla, north of the Gaza Strip.

Israeli raids were concentrated during the dawn hours on the city of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip.

In Khan Yunis camp, five Palestinians were killed and approximately 10 others were injured in an airstrike that destroyed a house with its residents inside, amid reports of missing persons.

In another incident, a woman and her child were killed and nine others were injured when an Israeli drone targeted a tent housing displaced persons near Asdaa Prison, west of Khan Yunis.

The occupation army also bombed tents for displaced people in the Al-Mawasi area west of the city, killing five Palestinians and wounding 15 others.

On the ground, the Israeli occupation army continues its demolition of homes east of Khan Yunis, alongside continuous artillery shelling targeting the southern and northern areas of the city, amid an ongoing escalation since the beginning of the genocide.

malnutrition

In this context, the number of children who have died from malnutrition in the Gaza Strip has risen to 69, while the number of deaths resulting from food and medicine shortages has reached 620 patients, amid the ongoing complete Israeli blockade and the lack of effective intervention to halt the worsening humanitarian catastrophe.

According to the Government Media Office in Gaza, approximately 650,000 children, 60,000 pregnant women, and 12,500 cancer patients are at risk of death due to lack of food and healthcare.

The Government Media Office condemned the Israeli occupation and the countries supporting it, most notably the United States, Germany, and France, holding them fully responsible for this human crime.

He called on the international community to take urgent action to halt the starvation policy and immediately open the crossings to allow the entry of humanitarian aid and save lives.

88% of the Gaza Strip was destroyed.

In a related development, the Government Media Office in Gaza announced on Friday that the number of martyrs and missing persons since October 7, 2023, has risen to 67,880 Palestinians, while the extent of the overall destruction has exceeded 88% of the Gaza Strip's area, which amounts to approximately 360 square kilometers.

In a statistical statement on the 650th day of the war, he said that Israel "dropped 125,000 tons of explosives on Gaza, destroyed more than 88% of the Strip, and took control of 77% of its area, causing losses exceeding $62 billion, while displacing two million civilians."

The Government Media Office indicated that "the total number of martyrs reached more than 19,000 children, 12,500 women, including 8,150 mothers, and 953 infants."

As of Thursday, the Gaza Ministry of Health said the death toll from Tel Aviv's genocidal campaign had risen to 58,667 Palestinians.

Gaza's health ministry's figures differ from the statistics published by the government office on Friday. This is attributed to the fact that the ministry relies on bodies arriving at hospitals for its figures, while the government office relies on hospital data and missing persons.

According to the statement, the Israeli occupation army also killed 1,590 medical personnel, 228 journalists, and 777 aid workers.

The statement noted that approximately 9,500 Palestinians "are still under the rubble and their fate is unknown."

In the same context, 2,613 families were wiped out and erased from the civil registry, while 68 children died of malnutrition and 17 others died of cold in displacement camps, according to the same source.

139,000 injuries were also recorded, including more than 4,700 amputations, while 44,500 children lost at least one parent. More than two million people were infected with infectious diseases due to displacement, including 71,000 cases of hepatitis.

The bureau reported in its statistical statement that the Israeli occupation army stole "2,420 bodies of the dead and martyrs from cemeteries and established seven mass graves inside hospitals during its ongoing war on the Gaza Strip."

Since the start of the genocide, Israeli forces have arrested 6,633 civilians from the Gaza Strip, including 362 medical personnel, 48 journalists, and 26 civil defense personnel, according to the statement.

In the health sector, the statement indicated that Israel destroyed 38 hospitals and 96 healthcare centers, in addition to targeting 144 ambulances.

The destruction also included 156 educational institutions completely and 382 partially, as well as 833 mosques, 3 churches, and 40 cemeteries, according to the statement.

He pointed out that 288,000 families have been left homeless after approximately 223,000 housing units were completely destroyed, and more than 130,000 were rendered uninhabitable, while 261 shelters were targeted, according to the same source.

Regarding Israel's starvation policy, the office stated that "the occupation killed 877 civilians and injured 5,666 others during its targeting of American aid distribution centers, while it continues to prevent the entry of tens of thousands of aid trucks for more than 139 days."

He explained that the agricultural sector in Gaza lost $2.2 billion after 92 percent of the territory was destroyed, while water, electricity, sanitation, and archaeological infrastructure were extensively destroyed.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel, with American support, has been committing genocide in Gaza, including killing, starvation, destruction, and displacement, ignoring international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to halt it.
