Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka inspected the handling of flooded areas in Ciledug, Tangerang City,then ordered central and regional government officials to inventory flood-prone areas, especially those along rivers.
Gibran, on the sidelines of his visit to Ciledug Indah 1, Pedurenan, Karang Tengah, also emphasized flood disaster management by prioritizing community protection and prioritizing responsive action and collaboration between the central and regional governments.
"The Vice President has requested that an inventory of vulnerable areas along the river be conducted," said Tangerang Mayor Sachrudin after accompanying Vice President Gibran at Ciledug Indah 1, Tangerang City.
The Vice President also stated that the government will discuss concrete measures for flood mitigation in the near future. He added that the central and regional governments plan to hold a technical meeting to evaluate and expedite flood management, particularly along the Angke River.
