Al-Hilal coach Simone Inzaghi said the news of the death of Liverpool and Portugal striker Diogo Jota has affected his team ahead of their Club World Cup quarter-final against Fluminense.
Al-Hilal full-back Joao Cancelo is a Portugal international, while midfielder Ruben Neves was a team-mate of Jota's both with the national team and while playing for Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League.
"We all know it's a sad day because of what happened to Diogo and Andre. It's something that shouldn't have happened, but it did," Inzaghi told Al-Hilal on Friday.
"As you know, we have two Portuguese players, Ruben Neves and Cancelo, who are very close to them. It's clear that today was a tough day for everyone. We tried to keep training, but the atmosphere was definitely not like a normal day. It's a real tragedy," he added.
