XLSmart can temporarily block numbers indicated as "voice phishing"

XLSmart said they can temporarily block mobile numbers used for voice phishing or fraudulent voice calls, based on investigations.

XLSmart External Communications Head Henry Wijayanto when met in Jakarta, Tuesday, explained that blocking could be done based on the victim's complaint to the police, which was followed up with an investigation.

"That's already a criminal offense, (the victim) reports it to the police, then the police will investigate. If there is an investigation to the operator, yes it can, if there is a report, it will be blocked (the fraudster's number). However, there is a time limit for blocking it," said Henry.
