The official Palestinian news agency, WAFA, reported that "the occupation forces stormed the village earlier on Saturday evening and fired live bullets at the young man, Hamdan Abu Aliya (18 years old), wounding him in the back before assaulting him."

The agency quoted the head of the Al-Mughayyir village council, Amin Abu Aliya, as saying that the young man "was taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead from his injuries."

With the martyrdom of Abu Aliya, the number of Palestinians killed by the Israeli occupation army and settlers in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, in parallel with the war of extermination in the Gaza Strip, has risen to more than 1,015. Some 7,000 others have been injured, and more than 18,500 have been arrested, according to Palestinian data.
