Tijuana, March 17.- Yesterday afternoon, Juan Gerardo “N,” the alleged murderer of Elizabeth Ocampo Xicoténcatl, was arrested, the State Attorney General's Office reported.
Elizabeth's family reported her missing to the Missing and Unlocated Persons Prosecutor's Office on August 27, 2020.
That same day, Elizabeth was found dead in the creek on Mariano Escobedo Street in the Reforma neighborhood of Rosarito Beach.
Witnesses reported seeing a man of robust build, dark complexion, approximately 30 years old at the scene.
Following his arrest, Juan Gerardo "N" was taken to the La Mesa Provisional Detention Center at the disposal of the Control Judge, who issued the arrest warrant. He will be charged with femicide at an upcoming hearing.
