Tijuana, July 27. Members of the State Citizen Security Force captured Bertha Alicia "N," alias La Licho, a Tijuana cartel operative in the Playas area.
In that police operation, they also arrested Marcos, El Yuca, a man accused of participating in the murder of councilman Juan Pablo Rodríguez Gil in September 2022.
The arrest took place on Paseo Ensenada in the Coronado section of the Playas de Tijuana district, when La Licho and El Yuca were traveling in a Kia Sorento, inside which packages containing 15 grams of methamphetamine were found.
Both were handed over to the State Attorney General's Office to be included in the investigation file.
Licho has a history of arrests for public health offenses, while the slain councilman accused El Yuca, of the Arellano Félix cartel, of shooting him.
