Amsterdam Rabobank from the Netherlands is aiming for its first title after being awarded top seed status at the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) 3x3 World Tour 2025 series in Debrecen, Hungary, which will be held.
According to the FIBA 3x3 website, as reported in Jakarta on Wednesday, the tournament will feature 16 teams and will be the final event before a one-month break.
Amsterdam appeared with renewed vigor after successfully ending their title drought at the Taipei Challenger.
The presence of star Worthy de Jong is expected to be the main weapon to face the tough match in Group A against Lausanne (Switzerland) which is strengthened by world champion Carlos Martinez, as well as Tim Seef (Bahrain) which completes the competition in the group.
Second seed Liman (Serbia) is also aiming for his second title of the season after previously winning in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
They are scheduled to face an emotional match in Group B against the Skyliners (Germany), who are now strengthened by former Liman star player Stefan Kojic.
Meanwhile, the host, represented by Team Debrecen, hopes that public support can take them far.
