The 51-year-old writer promoted various activities and cultural gatherings at his inn, La Bota, in Mexico City's historic center.

Poet and cultural promoter Antonio Calera-Grobet died this Saturday after drowning in Progreso, Yucatán, local media reported.

According to the information, the editor of Mantarraya Ediciones was on vacation in that portThe 51-year-old writer promoted various activities and cultural gatherings at his inn, La Bota , located on San Jerónimo and Isabel la Católica streets, across from the University of the Cloister of Sor Juana, in the Historic Center of Mexico City.

Among his poetry collections are Yendo (2014) and Sed Jaguar (2018).

He also directed projects for independent spaces and institutions such as the Mexico City Museum, the Secretariat of Culture of the Federal District, the Casa del Lago at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), and the Historic Center Foundation, where he was a founding member and director of the Casa Vecina cultural center..
