New York and Washington . Thousands rallied at more than 300 protest events across the country Saturday against President Donald Trump and his party's efforts to manipulate electoral maps to maintain control of Congress in the 2026 midterm elections, a key requirement for the right-wing project to proceed in the United States.

The national day of action took place in more than 34 states under the banner of “Fight Trump’s Snatching” and was organized by various national progressive organizations including Indivisible, Public Citizen, the Working Families Party, MoveOn, and unions such as the CWA Communications Union, women’s rights union, and the gay community union, among others, to denounce that “Trump is trying to steal the 2026 election by rigging the system and changing the electoral maps.”
