Chihuahua, October 27. U.S. and Mexican authorities on the Ciudad Juárez-El Paso border announced the "Information Wanted" initiative to gather information leading to the capture of key criminal targets operating on both sides of the border.
The first phase of the strategy identifies 10 individuals associated with transnational criminal organizations who are wanted in the United States and Mexico for crimes such as migrant smuggling, drug trafficking, and murder.
This initiative will be evaluated every six months, and based on the results, the most-wanted list will be updated, as there is already a list of more than 30 criminal targets.
Customs and Border Protection, the Border Patrol, the Office of Field Operations, the Chihuahua State Government, and federal, state, and local agencies agreed to cooperate and share information, as well as to publish photographs of the top 10 priority targets.
