Tijuana, June 28.— Addressing the demands and problems of two million residents is a priority for Tijuana Mayor Monserrat Caballero Ramírez, who stated that she currently has no preference for any Morena presidential candidate.
In response to a specific question from La Jornada Baja California regarding her participation in an event with Marcelo Ebrard Casaubón in Guadalajara, Jalisco, on June 19, she mentioned that she attended to present the results obtained at the El Chaparral camp and the migrants in the context of mobility from various countries around the world.
Caballero Ramírez said she is not currently committed to supporting any politician from her party, acknowledging that she is part of the project promoted by Andrés Manuel López Obrador, the current President of the Republic.
"I owe myself to a project that began with President Andrés Manuel López Obrador. I owe myself to the citizens, and right now, I really don't have time for political campaigns for anyone. There are other politicians who make the time, but I don't have it. Two million people don't allow me to campaign for others."
"Whether it was in positive or negative terms, it's not for me to determine that because he's a person who lost his life. We'll wait for the Prosecutor's Office to rule."
He explained that, to his knowledge, the former municipal official was performing his duties without any problems, reiterating that the investigating authorities will determine the motive for the death.
