Mexico City, July 5.- Luis Cárdenas Palomino, former director of Federal Security for the Federal Police and wanted for the crime of torture, was arrested this morning in Naucalpan, State of Mexico, the Attorney General's Office (FGR) reported.
In a tweet published today by the Prosecutor's Office, it announced that the "arrest warrant for the crime of torture against Luis 'C'" was executed with the support of the National Anti-Kidnapping Coordination, the Navy, and the National Intelligence
Cárdenas Palomino was one of the main collaborators of Genaro García Luna , who served as federal Secretary of Public Security during the term of Felipe Calderón Hinojosa and is currently imprisoned in the United States due to his ties to organized crime groups.
The former director of Federal Security, along with Ramón Pequeño García, another former Federal Police commander, is also García Luna's co-defendant in the same case being resolved in a federal court in New York .
