Chaired by the Turkish Foreign Minister, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) will discuss the Israeli escalation and developments in Gaza tomorrow in Jeddah

According to the Turkish Foreign Ministry, the meeting will discuss "the ongoing genocide being perpetrated against the Palestinian people," as well as Israel's decision to expand its military operations in the Gaza Strip.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation announced on Thursday that the meeting would be held to coordinate positions and joint efforts to confront Israeli plans to perpetuate the occupation and impose complete control over the Gaza Strip.

In a related development, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced Wednesday evening his directives to accelerate implementation of the plan to occupy Gaza City, which was approved on August 8, ignoring mediators' efforts to extract an Israeli response to a proposed ceasefire.

These developments have raised international warnings of the risk of the complete destruction of the Gaza Strip, increased suffering of Palestinians, and their forced displacement.
