This is the story of four Chinese who participated in the Ukrainian War. Taiwanese-born Ukrainian International Legion soldier Pan Wenyang; Hong Kong-born Ukrainian Special Forces soldier Edwin; and mainland Chinese volunteers Jason and David. Coming from Taiwan, the UK, the US, and China, each with their own unique aspirations, they joined the same battlefield, persevering under the threat of bombardment and death. Their stories are not only about war, but also about the choices made across national boundaries and reflections on the value of life.
