City Hall closes truck yard operating without a permit in the Jardín Dorado neighborhood

Tijuana, August 21. Personnel from the Inspection and Verification Directorate closed a facility operating as a truck yard for the distribution and storage of merchandise in the Jardín Dorado neighborhood; it did not have the necessary municipal permits to operate such a business, reported the director of the department, José Antonio Olivas Heredia.

The intervention was carried out in response to a complaint about the business's operation in a residential area; a press release reported that at the time of the visit by the agency's staff, the establishment lacked adequate safety and hygiene measures.

Olivas Heredia warned that "the Municipal Government maintains a firm commitment to legality and urban order; our job is to ensure that commercial activities are carried out in compliance with the law, thereby protecting the safety of Tijuana families," as instructed by Mayor Ismael Burgueño Ruiz.

The Inspection and Verification Directorate reiterates its call to citizens to contact municipal authorities before beginning any economic activity to process the corresponding permits and avoid penalties, ensuring orderly development for the benefit of the community, the press release stated
