Dewa United Banten managed to stop the positive run of Tangerang Hawks Basketball with a convincing 70-52 victory in the continuation of the 2025 All Indonesian tournament held at the Manahan Sports Hall, Solo, on Sunday, while also tightening the competition in Group A.
The match, which took place at the Manahan Sports Hall, saw Dewa United emerge victorious, as they dominated the second half with their young squad.
Although the Hawks outshot 80 to 68, they struggled to convert their chances into points. The Hawks only recorded a shooting accuracy of 23 percent. Meanwhile, Dewa United was more efficient, especially after halftime, scoring 39 points in the final two quarters.
Patrick Nikolas was the key player in Dewa United's victory with 19 points. Bryan Fernando Korisano impressed off the bench with 13 points and seven rebounds.
Erick Ibrahim Junior also put in a solid performance, contributing a double-double of 12 points and 14 rebounds. Dio Tirta Saputra added 12 points to complete Dewa United's balanced performance.
Meanwhile, the Hawks could only rely on Gabriel Batistuta Risky who contributed 12 points and five rebounds, amidst the team's collective struggles in breaking down the opponent's defense.
This result leaves all four teams in Group A with a stalemate, with one win and one loss each. The Hawks and Rajawali Medan currently sit at the top of the standings, but that lead is temporary given the many matches remaining in the group stage.
