Astra Honda racers deliver three podium finishes at Indonesia's 80th anniversary

Astra Honda Motor (AHM)-trained racers successfully flew the Red and White flag in various national and international racing championships, Sunday, coinciding with the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, with podium finishes in three racing events.

Based on information received in Jakarta, the young racer of the Astra Honda Racing Team (AHRT) presented a special independence gift with a series of achievements in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup (RBRC) series in Austria, the Mandalika Racing Series (MRS), and the National Motocross Championship (Kejurnas) in Wonosobo, Central Java.

In the Red Bull Rookies Cup Austria, Veda Ega Pratama recorded two second-place podium finishes in the races held on August 16 and 17, 2025. In the first race, Veda led from the start but had to settle for second place after being overtaken in the last two corners.

The second race was more challenging, with low morning temperatures, but Veda again performed consistently in the front group, securing second place, just 0.087 seconds behind the winner. The Indonesian flag flew from the Austrian podium, symbolizing the nation's achievements.

His partner, M. Kiandra Ramadhipa, finished fourth in the first race and 12th in the second race.

"The race was quite difficult because it was held in the morning with low temperatures. But I'm happy to be able to achieve a podium finish on Indonesian Independence Day," said Veda, a racer from Gunung Kidul, Yogyakarta.
