The Director General of Corrections at the Ministry of Immigration and Corrections, Mashudi, said that the parole of former Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Setya Novanto, will be revoked if he fails to report to the Correctional Center.
Mashudi, when met in Jakarta on Sunday, said that Setya Novanto, the convict in the electronic ID card procurement corruption case, must report to the nearest Bapas once a month until April 2029, starting from when he was declared on parole.
"He reported it to the nearest Bapas (Father's Office), which could be there, or even in Bandung. Once a month. (If not) it will definitely be revoked, according to the provisions of the ministerial regulation and the law," said Mashudi.
Mashudi explained that Setya Novanto received conditional release after paying the fine and compensation for the state losses he caused in the corruption crime.
"He has paid the subsidiary, meaning that the state losses have been paid, so the KPK has sent us a letter, and we are obliged to process it," said the Director General of Corrections.
