This came during his meeting with a Hamas delegation headed by Mohammed Darwish, head of the Shura Council, on Friday in Istanbul, according to sources in the Turkish Foreign Ministry.
The sources explained that the Hamas delegation stated that the amount of aid allowed into Gaza by Israel was far from meeting the needs of Palestinians in the Strip.
For his part, Minister Vidan pointed to Israel's continued genocidal policies, including starving Palestinians in Gaza. He added that this approach by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government is an indication that it is not taking a serious stance regarding ceasefire efforts.
The Turkish Foreign Minister emphasized that Israel's goal, by prolonging the ceasefire negotiations, is to break Palestinian resistance in Gaza and force them to leave their homes. He also emphasized Türkiye's categorical rejection of these steps and its support for the continuation of the negotiations.
Fidan also noted that mounting international public opinion pressure has led to increased recognition of the State of Palestine by countries and Israel's increasing isolation. He emphasized that Türkiye will continue its strongest support for the Palestinian cause.
