Federal forces seize drugs and weapons in Colima and Sinaloa

Federal authorities struck two blows against criminal groups. One was the seizure of 114 liters of suspected methamphetamine precursor, and the second involved the seizure of more than 6,000 rounds of ammunition and weapons, and the arrest of two people.

In the first case, in collaboration with Manzanillo Customs, personnel from the Mexican Navy (Semar) seized 114 liters of methamphetamine precursor while inspecting a shipment originating from the state of Michoacán at the Port of Manzanillo, Colima.

The drugs were intended to be shipped in five cardboard boxes, each containing six gallons of plastic liquid, resulting in a total of 30 containers being seized. The methamphetamine was handed over to the Federal Public Prosecutor's Office.

In addition, in operations carried out in the municipalities of Navolato and San Ignacio, Sinaloa, Semar personnel, in coordination with members of the Mexican Army, the National Guard, the Ministry of Security and Citizen Protection, the Attorney General's Office, the State Attorney General's Office, and the State Public Security Secretariat, seized 6,698 live rounds of ammunition, five firearms, 49 camouflage uniforms, and an improvised explosive device, in addition to arresting two civilians.

The operations included ground and air patrols, which led to the location of a shelter camp for criminal groups.
