The Ministry of Welfare urged people to ignore promotional messages about supposed bonuses or promotions, as they may be "fraudulent" information, since all procedures for registering for or receiving pensions and welfare programs "are completely free."
In a brief statement, the agency noted that the aforementioned programs "are constitutional rights granted directly and without intermediaries through the Banco del Bienestar card."
For this reason, he emphasized that "it does not provide bonuses, credits, or loans to women, nor does it send or forward any type of message via WhatsApp promoting registrations or bonuses."
The Welfare Department urged beneficiaries "not to be surprised or fall for scams promoting fake pages through WhatsApp messages with fraudulent information," and urged them to obtain information about pensions and social programs only through official channels.
