Former X Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Linda Yaccarino will take up a new position as CEO at eMed Population Health, an artificial intelligence (AI)-based health technology startup that is developing a platform for patients using GLP-1 drugs.
As reported by Tech Crunch on Wednesday, before joining X, Yaccarino was known as a senior advertising executive at NBCUniversal. He then led X for two years and was credited with positively impacting the platform's advertising revenue model, despite being marred by controversy with Elon Musk over its approach to content moderation.
Despite not having a background in healthcare technology, eMed stated that they recruited Yaccarino for his ability to forge strategic partnerships. His reputation in the tech industry during his time at X was also seen as a valuable asset in attracting potential partners to eMed.
