Oaxaca de Juárez, July 26.- General Salvador Cienfuegos Zepeda, Secretary of National Defense during the Enrique Peña Nieto administration, was captured yesterday giving away tlayudas at the Guelaguetza in Oaxaca.
General Cienfuegos's attendance at the traditional Oaxacan festival was captured in a video shared on Twitter, in which the former official is seen carrying a straw basket, throwing tlayudas and other regional items.
Salvador Cienfuegos Zepeda's public appearance sparked controversy because he was arrested in the United States two years ago for alleged drug trafficking. Upon his extradition to Mexico, the Attorney General's Office (FGR) exonerated him, and he remains free to this day.
