Tijuana, August 11.- “How good for him,” said Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda regarding the reinstatement of Jaime Bonilla to the Senate of the Republic .
The plenary session of the Superior Chamber of the Electoral Tribunal of the Federal Judicial Branch (TEPJF) approved by majority vote the reinstatement of the former governor to the Senate of the Republic, reversing the ruling of the Guadalajara Regional Chamber.
In this regard, Marina del Pilar said that the rule of law was upheld . "That's good for him, isn't it?" the governor said.
He also stated that he wouldn't be speaking to congratulate him, but acknowledged that, thanks to the TEPJF's resolution, Baja California has one more senator.

For her part, Mayor Montserrat Caballero Ramírez said she was "happy" to see Senator Jaime Bonilla Valdez return to his seat.
"I'm happy that the senator is returning to his seat, and definitely when you have the stature he has, you never left. For me, he's always been the senator, and I'm very happy. So are the people of Tijuana, and so is our party. It's not prudent to talk about partisan issues, but he's the founder of Morena."
