Google has reached a settlement agreement in a lawsuit accusing the company of illegally collecting data from child users without parental consent through its YouTube video platform and then using it for advertising purposes.
the technology giant agreed to pay US$30 million or around Rp. 489 billion to settle the class-action lawsuit .
Lawyers for the plaintiffs stated that the number of affected group members could reach 35 million to 45 million people.
