San Diego, March 25. Governor Marina del Pilar Avila Olmeda held a working meeting with U.S. immigration authorities at the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) facility at the Tijuana-San Ysidro border crossing.
The meeting was attended by Sidney Aki, Director of Field Operations, and Mariza Marín, Director of the San Ysidro Port of Entry.
During the meeting, Baja California's Secretary of Citizen Security, Laureano Carrillo Rodríguez , was introduced to the U.S. authorities .
The state leader emphasized the importance of maintaining close collaboration with the United States government to improve mobility at international crossings and strengthen border security.
Among the topics discussed was preparations for the 2025 Tourism Fair , which will take place from April 28 to May 1 and will feature events in San Diego.
